Training at 107 Orfus Rd

The Performance Centre and private gym is the private side of Kinetic Haus, in the same building as the group class studio and the therapy clinic at 107 Orfus Rd in North York. Everything here is coached one to one, in a pair or small group, or with a whole team, and a plan is written after a conversation about your history, your sport and the time you actually have each week.

Private, semi-private and small group training

Private sessions are the simplest way in: one coach, one athlete, programming written for you. Semi-private and small group training keeps the same approach but shares the hour with one or two other people, which suits training partners, siblings and couples who would rather keep each other honest than train alone. These sessions are arranged by email rather than through the class calendar, so the time can sit around shift work, school or a competition schedule.

In-season and off-season athlete and team training

Youth, elite-amateur and professional athletic training runs in small group and team settings. In season, work is generally lighter in volume and built around arriving at competition fresh. Off season is where most strength and capacity gets built, because there is room to load properly and recover from it. A team can book the floor as a block, which keeps a squad training together instead of scattering across individual sessions.

Injury rehab and pain management

Coaches also work with people training around a niggle or coming back from something more serious. The aim is to teach you to manage the problem and rebuild confidence in the movement, not to leave you dependent on a session. Where something needs assessing rather than coaching, the sports therapy clinic is in the same building and covers osteopathy, athletic therapy, physiotherapy, massage therapy, injury rehabilitation and post-op care. Clinic appointments are booked separately on Jane. None of this replaces advice from your own practitioner, and if you are working to a surgeon’s protocol that protocol comes first.

Getting started

Group class pricing is published on the pricing page. Personal, semi-private and group training is quoted per person, so email info@kinetichaus.com with your sport, your schedule and what you are training for. We are open Monday to Friday, 6am to 9pm, and weekends 8am to 6pm. If you would rather start in a room full of people, the ten group class formats run all week.
